Registration for the 2nd World Forum on Climate Justice virtual conference organised by the Centre for Climate Justice at Glasgow Caledonian University is now open. Register Now

 

Registration Types

Academic – Participants will have full access to the live virtual conference and post conference access to all content 24hrs a day until October 25, 2021.

Student – Participants will have full access to the live virtual conference and post conference access to all content 24hrs a day until October 25, 2021. Student registration is available for those studying full time and part-time and who hold a current Student Identification Card. To be eligible you will need to provide a copy of your current student ID card or a written statement from your supervisor verifying your student status.

NGO – Participants will have full access to the live virtual conference and post conference access to all content 24hrs a day until October 25 2021. To be eligible you will need to provide a written statement from your employer on headed paper verifying your role within the NGO.

DAC Country Registrations – Reduced fees have been offered for attendees based in DAC countries. For a full list of DAC countries, please click here

 

Fee Waiver Award

WFCJ will offer 50 conference fee waivers on a first-come, first-served basis to students, academics and employees of NGOs who are based in DAC countries. Apply via the abstract submission portal by submitting a letter of support from your lead supervisor confirming where your workplace or key activity is based OR your student status.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply for the fee waiver if you:

  • Submit an abstract for oral presentation
  • Submit an abstract for a panel session

Please note – Paper session organisers are not eligible to apply, but they are free to apply for the Award if they also submit an oral presentation.

Registration Fees

Payment is required upon registration. We accept Visa and MasterCard. All payments made must be in British Pound Sterling (£). Payment by bank transfer will incur an additional administration fee of £25.

Cancellation policy

A full refund on the registration fee will be provided up to Wednesday 11 August 2021, no refund will be provided after this date.

If you pre-register and do not attend the conference you will be charged your participation fee.

Payment Policy

Payment can only be accepted by Visa or MasterCard.

Should you require payment by bank transfer an additional administration fee of £25 will be charged. Please email your request to WFCJ@conferencepartners.com

Registration Substitution Policy

Substitutions/replacements can be made at any time up to one week before the conference begins, Tuesday 7th September, by emailing your request to WFCJ@conferencepartners.com.This substitution is subject to a £25 charge.

Code of Conduct

This Online Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of delegates in any form. Inappropriate language and imagery are not acceptable to be included in presentations, workshops, networking forums and other online media. Conference delegates violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Data Consent

By registering for this conference, delegates agree to the collection of contact and demographic information. This includes any information unique to the delegate that is available on the individual’s profile should they wish to share it with other attendees. Sessions during the event will be recorded, attendees can turn their camera off if they do not wish to be recorded. Click here for our full data protection policy

Please ensure that you have a laptop and reliable internet access in order to attend this conference. World Forum on Climate Justice cannot be held responsible for issues relating to access due to technical difficulty encountered by the delegate. Accessing Virtual Conference

How will I access the sessions and activities?
Before the start of the conference, you will gain access to an online platform where all sessions, activities and networking will take place. In this platform, you can fill out your profile, schedule meetings with partners and other delegates, and build your schedule of sessions and activities. You will receive personalised log in details to access this platform closer to the conference.

How long will the content be available for in the online conference platform?
You will have access to all content until October 25, 2021. In this time, you can log in at any time to re-watch recordings and access resources, as well as retrieve any chats, messages and contact information you collected during the conference.

What technical requirements do I need to attend the virtual conference?  You will need:

  • An internet connection: broadband wired or wireless
  • PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone: we recommend you use a PC or Mac. If you participate using a tablet or smartphone, some of the break-out and networking features may have limited functionality, although watching sessions will work just fine.
  • Webcam and microphone: we recommend using a headset with a built-in microphone
  • The latest version of your preferred web browser: to make use of all the features in the online conference platform, use we recommend you use Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Please ensure you are using the most current version of your browser. The conference platform is very new and will not operate in older browsers.

When does the platform open?  

The online conference platform will open prior to the start of the conference for the delegates to fill in their profile information. More information about when the platform will be made accessible will follow shortly.
